Post subject:  Hi from Austria and new Bach video

Hi all, this is my first post here so I would like to introduce myself. I`m a Swiss musician living in Vienna Austria. And I´m playing the stick since 2000.
Please have a look at my new video:
This song took me a few months, but now it's finally ready! J.S.Bach - Goldberg Variations BWV988 - Variation 19. The tricky part was to arrange it in a way that all the three voices are playable and clearly heard. Hope you like it!

Beautiful!

Out of curiosity, could you explain your tuning and approach? from what I can see/hear, you have the bass in fourths and the melody in fourths. The instrument appears to be tuned for right handed playing, but you seem to be left-handed. Also you have inverted the melody strings, so that the highest is near the lowest bass string. Correct?
What is the interval between the two sets of strings?
I'm especially curios about the path to this approach, which seems to work very well indeed for you ;)

Yes, my tuning is in fourth. It's the same as The 12-String Mirrored 4ths tuning, that you can find on stick.com , except uncrossed.
Melody
C, G down a 4th, D down a 4th, A down a 4th,E down a 4th (guitar low E), B down a 4th
Bass
E (bass guitar low E), A up a 4th, D up a 4th, G up a 4th, C up a 4th, F up a 4th

And I'm a lefthand player. I remember the first German Stick seminar with greg. They called my tuning "the weird Tuning" :D

The 4th tuning works great for piano music. thats what I like about it. the 5th tuning is better for chords and has wider range!
I´m thinking about buying a second stick with the 5th in the bass to give me new ideas.
