I have a GK-2 on my Grand and a GK-3 on my NS. I use a GR-30 because I haven't been able to upgrade and because I think we are on the verge of creating sounds without a GK (individual strings) type of pickup.

The Roland VG stuff isn’t listed in the poll, so just a bit of a technical note since that’s what Steve A and Nima use. The VG/VB devices use the individual string audio from the GK pickup to do modeling and polyphonic effects. Although it can convert to MIDI, most of what people do with these is not actually MIDI-based. I believe both Steve and Nima use it this way, rather than MIDI (although it appears Nima is using Guitar MIDI software to drive some synths). * Obviously, I’m guessing here on what they’re doing and only they could confirm.

Hi Claire
Thanx for the input, but i didn´t take the VG/VB to the options, because they are dicontinued by Roland. You only get them used.
As far as I understand, is the GR55 the replacement for those. Roland mentions on their homepage, that the GR55 has the sounds of the VG99.
