No midi-pickup here, I never felt the need for that - I can mutilate the sound sufficiently with my effects boxes. ;)

2 Purple Hearts, 2 maples and a half fretless bamboo. All Grand.
MIDI pickup is essential for my sounds using the Roland VG99 processor.

My Alto doesn't have midi, but my forthcoming SG12 will have the Roland GK3 on the left hand. Can't wait to solo over some pads and strings!

I thought about it but decided against getting a MIDI rig for my SB8.

I don't know why, really. I think it's because back in the day I used them for bass and I ended up sounding like a bad keyboard player.

I do sometimes cheat a bit and use a pitch-to-MIDI converter when I want to wrench some sounds out of my SB8 that I can't get otherwise.
