Music theory will elevate your Stick explorations to new creative heights.
Theoretically speaking of course

Same author has some interesting perspectives on remembering where notes are on the fretboard. This info applies to the Stick as well. He treats the strings as 'pairs of strings'. Each pair is a separate voice. He then breaks these pairs down further into blocks of notes. I like his ideas.

Here's an example of the chunk/block diagram for 12 str MR (using my little fretboard diagram gadget) that he makes in the video

It would be interesting to plot out the different blocks depending on the type of tuning.
See attached photo for an example
of 12 string matched reciprocal
and 10 string classic.

you can load the diagram into a really cool svg graphics web app

https://boxy-svg.com/

and add any extra notations you'd like. i just tried it and it loads the diagrams from the gadget just fine

I often wonder, how important is Music Theory?
I like to play music to unwind and have fun.
When I see deep theory, it's not so relaxing.

The following video is somewhat confusing.

I find the approach taken by ImproviseForReal very refreshing. It 'works' for me and is essentially the 'lens' through which I hear, feel & see music.
