Thanks Scott. Not much to post this week, busy as heck with kids in summer classes.

Still need to wrap up 1st invention and do follow up with Rob [Gellner]+[Haener].

Ooh, and learn and record Suicide in painless!

Wishing there was a way I could get there for the workshop. Nice update, Gene, thanks!

It'd be interesting to see your board you discussed - not so much for "the gear" but how you were discussing your workflow and how you set up for flexibility
Paring down is a funny thing.
How we inhale, then feel so full it's almost constraining, then the exhaling.

you could probably do a whole FHF on breathing, inhale/exhale
from playing biomechanics and posture to composition (complexity, tension, etc) to gear acquisition

:D

my burning question is what did he get rid of.

minimalism...see, I've masted "it's the noted he's not playing" by not playing

Thanks for the responses.

For what it's worth, I did manage to move to a smaller pedalboard. It has smaller pedals, so what have I given up? Big pedals. I'll put together some bits on that after Rob and I put a bow on the third K-Mix session and I post the second bit of invention 1, those will be FHF 98 and 99 although perhaps not in that order.

I am pretty certain Rob H. and Rob G. are both good to go on our K-Mix session and I am definitely good to go on Invention 1. Vic and Claire both know I have to focus on invention 8!

Breath control, posture and biomechanics are all fascinating topics. I really enjoyed this article in particular on Biomechanics for musicians. I think all of these discussions would make good group discussions if we want to lock in a date for them and do an old school 8-10 person session on the matter.

Let me know =)
