Post Stick Talk 3
Hi Stick friends and happy Wednesday.

I have posted Stick Talk 3 and I do so hope that you will be able to use this, along with the 3 previous videos to knock out Minuet No.2 in G Major.

I've shortened the intro and am settling into a more defined format (intro, intro splash, overview, chart overview, right hand, left hand, lessons learned and closing summary). This will help with future episodes and keep them short and sweet. Additionally, I have added a fotowelt lava mic and a pair of Shure earbuds which has made the whole experience a little more lightweight.

The Tap in Time podcast has been such a joy to be a part of, I'm hoping to supplement whatever Vic / Claire / Rodrigo decide. This next Stick Talk series will be Bach's Minuet in G minor - I am hoping to again do this as part of a 3-part series so that it can be learned in a 3 week stretch.

I also expect a deep dive on the HX Stomp in the near future, but won't even consider it unless I can get Jeremy Cubert onboard - he is the HX / Helix high priest...! The HX deep dive will need to be done in a series as there is too much to for one session, more on this as soon as I have traction on what is of most value to TapNation.

Thanks for the feedback, likes and subscribes - cheers.

I'm not a schooled musician like most here but that was very nice work and well read.

Thank you, Gene!
I finally manage the first part! The second will follow ...
On the Alto it makes sense to play the melody an octave higher (like the piano score).

Gene, this is great stuff. A bit of theory, a bit of "Gene's approach to song learning", and a bit of encouragement added for good measure. So glad you're doing this, it's a great service to the community.

Outside of the musical content, allow me to compliment the production itself- the split screen makes it low effort to track where you are on the score and what you're doing. Plus, sweet intro...

Thanks Sticky! And thanks for keeping me honest on this one Miguel, I believe there was another bit in the bass that you corrected for me.

Thanks Vic, glad you like the intro. I have recently moved to OBS Livestream which is a little easier to use for multiple screens. I am hoping to normalize the video / audio setup in the next few months, THAT will be really exciting as I won't have to set up and breakdown every time I want to record.

Awesome stuff Gene.
A bit over my head, but it's something to aspire to.

These are rudiments - really easy to learn. Just think of them as scales over a fundamental. I'll do Minuet No. 1 in G minor next month, which is a bit slower and fun to play!

As always, thanks for the good word Carlos.

I’m in love with my HX stomp. Sold my mod duo and bought the HX stomp. I’ve got some killer patches I found for free online. I would love to hear your conversation with Jeremy. Especially splitting the Stick paths and processing separately. Not having great success doing that. Not sure if I’m getting too much crosstalk? Anyway keep these going they are awesome and very well executed
