When we play music we want to entertaine our audiance. Take them on a journey. Remove them, if even for a moment, from the harshness of reality. We may even wish to tell a story. On this week's Free Hands Friday, we have a Stick player that tells stories ... I mean literaly. He tells stories while playing The Chapman Stick. This is the first I've heard of a Stick player doing this and the results are very interesting.

Our guest this week is Pat Braden. Dale Ladouceur will be doing the interview as we continue our special presentation of Canadian Stick players.

Yeah, I am looking forward to this one for sure. Pat is all original and very creative in his approach to this craft, very refreshing.

Pat's work is an absolute delight! I remember flying back from Vancouver in 2010. I was listening to Pat's CD. Incredible stories from a place in the cold. Brought me to tears. He's a great musician and fabulous storyteller. Looking forward to watch the hangout.
