Post The spice of life
On Sunday, John D'earth and I played a duo gig at a local art fair.

Music ranged from Bach to Leonard Cohen, to Miles Davis to One Republic, with plenty of Greg Howard thrown in for good measure.. John played trumpet, traditional flutes and various percussion instruments, including a very cool little lap snare drum...

A very fast version of "So What" kept me flying with the new diatonic 1-2-1-3 fingering for the melodic bass line, plus a whole lot of speedy modal walking...

Great to be playing outdoors on a beautiful Mother's Day...

Too bad it’s not on video. I’d love to see my two favourite instruments together. (And hear the awesomeness of two monster players )

I’m a few months late to this post but Greg, I wanted to mention that Dave Mathews was on the Howard Stern show a few weeks back and he threw out a major kudos to John during the show......said he was one of his biggest influences. ( I’m assuming it’s the same John)
I know you have a connection with Dave as well so I thought I’d mention it here....pass it on to John if you remember, everyone luvs a kudos.

Cheers,
Krabindah Bukkeht
