Gene’s post reminded me of something: although probably no one has ever broken a stick string playing, I once got on a gig, took the Stick out of the soft bag to find one of them had snapped. Never, ever, leave home without a set of spare strings. You won’t need it until you’re in a football stadium, opening up for Ed Sheeran. Then it will snap.
