Re: The big pedalboard discussion
Does anyone know of any "New" Bass Multi effects processors that come close to the Zoom B9.1Ut? This unit has been amazing but is quickly becoming obsolete.

Re: The big pedalboard discussion
C9 is very highly recommended. I'm still amazed that you can get these sounds without MIDI I guess it's a matter of taste but out of the four in the series of C9 B9 KEY9 MEL9 that's my choice. You may consider getting two different pedals for best stereo winner effect

Re: The big pedalboard discussion
A bit of a necro-bump.
I sold my old school Damage Control pedals and a few other things. Using that money to start my pedal setup from scratch. I'm working out a way to include guitar and Stick into the signal path with an A/B switch on the melody side so I can leave my electric plugged into the chain and swap back and forth.
The start of the new setup will include:
StepAbout Beat Buddy Two Notes Le Lead distortion pedal (mostly for high gain guitar) Zoom MS-60B Two Notes Le Clean (to add tube warmth to the melody side and for some lighter Stick melody overdrive) Strymon Timeline TC X4 Looper Molten Voltage Tempode (for tap tempo control and MIDI clock injection)
Once I get everything set up I'll post some pics. Still need to get a Pedaltrain board to organize everything.

Re: The big pedalboard discussion
Hi guys, I realized I created this topic but didn't really contribute yet. Here's my latest and probably last rig. For many years, I played this rig (well more or less) with a Strymon Timeline in place of this current Boss DD-500. At the beginning of the year, some bigger musical projects drove me to build a bigger board. But I realized quite quickly that I'm not that nimble-footed to use such a big board, and moreover, it was so heavy to carry that I gave up using it (subway was a pain). I came back to my beloved small board, swapping the Strymon Timeline with the Boss DD-500. Man, this device is so great ! Presets are ok, and I have to admit that right out of the box, this one is deceiving if you compare it with the Strymon. But once you figure out how to create your own presets and how to control up to 8 parameters (any of them and not only the ones on the front panel) with some external footswitches or expression pedal (MIDI or not), you can't stop playing it. I added a Jamman looper for rehearsal and teaching, but don't use it in a live context, I'm so bad at it. Next (possible) step : getting rid of the Retrosonic chorus and replace it with the Waza Boss CE-2. Am I a geek ? :-)

I recently tried out that Boss volume pedal on your board (FV-30L?). At first blush it seemed like it had too short of a usable throw, so I returned it.
Are you using yours as a volume or expression pedal?

Re: The big pedalboard discussion
Yes, i know what you mean. More than the size, the strange feeling is about the "length of the sweep", i still have some difficulties to make some nice swells. My old Ernie Ball is very nice for that purpose, but it´s far too big and heavy to be kept on board. On the floor, i have a Boss plastic expression pedal hooked to the delay.

Input a stereo TRS cable from the stick? And the output? Do you use a Y-Cable to spöit the stereo out connector or 2 TS Monocables for Melody and bass? I can´t see it on your picture and the description of the SP2 confuses me more than helping me Gerald

Re: The big pedalboard discussion
Hi, Here just my little contribution on this topic. Here is the pedalboard I use for my stick but also for electric bass and electric upright. The Line6 Helix is just a fantastic peace of gear. There is still few effects type missing (slow attack, vocoder....) , but I hope to get them in a future update! As you can see I added a EHX Hog 2 and a freeze, so I can mimick some organ like parts.
