Post acoustic guitar amplifier suggestions
Hello everybody!

i have the opportunity to buy
an used L.Rbaggs acoustic amp(maybe 400$)

Has anyone test it with the stick?
What do you think about home playing?
{
i play only at home,
dislike computer plugins,
dislike fx in general(not reverb or echo)
dislike digital bass amplifier sound
}
the amp has :
8" full range radiator
140° dispersion sound
200w digital power amp(100w RMS?)

Maybe i found after a life the sound for my stick? :P
Bye. :(

I don't really know L.R. Baggs amps but I've used their preamps for acoustic guitar and they're very high quality components.

I can say that, in general, good acoustic guitar amplifiers sound very nice with the Stick provided that you have two channels to work with.

It'll likely be a bit on the under powered side but if, as you say, you're only playing at home, it will likely do the job.

Have never heard one,best thing to do is seek one out and try it.I have a new Fender Acoustic Pro, 12" Woofer,2.5" Tweeter, 200 Watt for sale.I think in blows the Fishman away.A little bit more pricey but alot of product as far as acoustic goes.Italy no doubt has them, best to you and let us know.

I've played through a Fishman for the last 5+years. It's great!

But at $400, that LL Boggs sounds like it's worth a try.

I've used two different SWR acoustic amps through my time as a Stick player: California Blonde and now I have the Natural Blonde. I've thoroughly enjoyed both of them and think acoustic amps work well for Stick for this reason:

I think one of the most important things for Stick is having a true full range system, either with a special coaxial driver or a 2-way system with a tweeter. Without it, you lose that percussive attack of tapping the strings, which is part of the unique sound of the Stick.

Again, just my $.02, IMO, YMMV, etc.

And it looks like the LR Baggs amp can do all of that, so you'll probably have a good time with it. :)

hello,first of all ...many thanks for your replies!
all your suggestions are interesting!

but for me the question is this :

may i have to pay $180 to buy material to inglobate
two 50w Dean Markley old amplifier(1 bass + 1 guitar)
whith the rane sp13 as preamp in an unique amplifier...
( i have the amps and Rane !) .PLus the WORK to do it!

or pay $ 400 to buy the L.R Baggs amlifier(with 48v option)
and sell the Rane SP13? :?: :?: :?:

Now it's time for me to take a chance!( :?: ) .
THANKS and bye to all! :?
