Here's the page about the Strymon riverside distortion (with video):

Here's a previous thread about distortion sounds on the Stick:

I still swear by the Fulltone Plimsoul. It has two stages of distortion so you can really dial in a great sound on both Stick and NS Stick. I've used it for both, it's my go-to.

So many types of distortion out there.

I've wondered how the Vertex Steel String Clean Drive would sound. I love the SRV tone and wonder if I can get that with tapping on my NS...

I went with this, picked one up today. The difference between this and the EHX OO is the three position presence switch. I haven't tried it yet with my Stick, but I've ran it through with my guitar and NS Stick. Really makes a difference with the NS - often OD's somewhat die in the upper register, but using the presence switch in the mid position makes a huge difference, and it held on nicely in the upper register. Like the EHX, it's not made specifically for guitar, the tone controls are meant to be used with any instrument, works well with bass. I really noticed how well the bass control works in the lower register of the NS.
