Just in case anybody was wondering.....

I ordered single strings via juststrings.com and I could get pretty close to the gauges of the Medium Gauge set from SE with some minor substitutions.

It does appear that guitar strings will not work for anything but string 1 and string 12 so hopefully that will save you some money if you ever end up going this route.

D'Addario makes some bass strings in Long Scale that will work for the newer Sticks they get down to gauge .018. Once I get a complete working set I will post what gauges I ended up with in case anybody is interested.

Dude, you play a Stick, just get Stick strings, man! Call 'em up, find out wtf is wrong, and fix it. That's how it works, trust me I piss off lots of people and a quick conversation on the phone can usually fix ANY misunderstanding. If you want to fix it, it will get fixed. Unless your name rhymes with Shmadoff Pitler in which case you ARE going to burn in hell...

lol Try calling 'em, and report back... (Cambria is waiting...)

:(
Went to try the strings that I ordered as singles and the guitar strings will not work even on the outer strings. They are short. Bummer.....Back to the drawing board open to suggestions......Other than call SE

I have tried several times and Emmett refuses to talk to me :?

Hi,

As Russell already mentioned in this thread, Kalium strings are very nice ones.
I have 2 others tap instruments with those strings, and I am more than happy with them.
Be careful, for wounded strings even the L length guitar will be too short, but you can take some bass strings as the end ball is not a problem at all for Stick.
For plain strings you can take either guitar or bass version.
There is myriad of gauges and you must find the ones fitting your needs.

Best regards

Hi
An Alternative for those living in the EU:
Curt Mangan Strings for a 10-string (I think they are MR)
They are sold via Audio-boutique.com
https://www.audio-boutique.com/category ... -stick-83/
I have them on my Railboard and they work fine

Curt Mangan is from Colorado http://www.curtmangan.com/

If you know what string thicknesses you are interested in, it will not hurt to ask the various string manufacturers about custom order.

In EU you can order custom sets from D’Orazio Strings. Simon Fitzpatrick uses them. https://simonfitzpatrick.net/2016/11/01 ... o-strings/

"I have no problem supporting Stick Enterprises but they will no longer sell to me."

Can we get a narrative here?
What happened?
Also, couldn't you just have a friend order them for you?

Could you share more details about this? I want to order a new set from SE, but the strings cost 47$ (which is ok for me) but the shipping is 23$-63$ which is huge. I went to D’Orazio and couldn’t find stick strings. Do I just weite to them and I say “I need a set of light strings in deep baritone melody for a 34” 10-string stick”? Or do I have to give the the exact string gauge and say if it’s plain or wound? If it’s the latter, where do I get this information? I’ve been looking for this and haven’t found anything...

Thanks!
