I think I need to go to a party at AnDroids house  Long Drive though.
Budget matters of course , but for sure what you hear changes how you play. So what you play through can make you play better perhaps. I go through a desk , nice DI's or interfaces at home and can get the Stick sounding as good as it can more or less, so then its up to me. Part of that philosophy is why I bought the radial DI's, I'll never need to replace/upgrade them. In the dozens and dozens of open mics I've done its nearly always been though PA's and my best ones have always been when the sound and foldback has been best. I agree with Guru Steve , that rare & exotic $5K beast ( thanks exchange rate & tax , NOT!) deserves the best signal path it can have. Fortunately my wife reckons An "Audio Habit" is a good one !
Anyway I'm home off the ship last night and the Grand is still hiding in the cupboard, gotto go practice. Two Open nights this week booked, Yikes... :o

Hey Bruce, good on ya! Open mikes are still in my future but the future is rapidly approaching (I hope lol!).

Steve, I agree 100%, why cheap out on amps when the instrument is 'priceless'. It's like buying a $1000 car stereo and spending 75$ on speakers. But.... I am using 2 QSC-K12's , the Roland VG-99 for melody fx (thanks for your recommendation!) and recently bought a behringer mixer for bass fx. I am pretty happy with my sound right now... when I play half decently! It's a bit more bulk than I'd like to have, but not to dissimilar from your setup. It'll do for now and it really does sound nice.

I haven't checked their site in a while, they finally released their new combo amps in August that you told me about either earlier this year or last year:

Looks like they are still selling that Aluminum one also.

lol Nasty Android, but funny!

I am personally quite happy with what I use...
I'd love to hear a clip of the Epiphanis with the Stick and see what the fuss is all about... :D

Rand, QSC makes great powered speakers. You didn't cheap out with them. One drawback is lack of EQ
I also use Quilter amps made by Pat Quinn, the Q in QSC.
All good. Just making an Epifani recommendation for a great sounding lightweight setup.
Enjoy the journey
Steve

The other day, the violinist in my band sold me a mini-Crate. Old amp, terrible reputation, but it was 50 bucks and my Marshall JCM 600 is on the fritz.

I think it sounds just fine.

I'm using an older Stick with Fret Rods and a Stickup.

I love my SWR Baby Blue II. I use it for the bass side, with a Bag End 18" Subwoofer.
