Dbro Holder
Hey everyone! I'm excited to announce that the amazing Slovak artist Patrícia Šichmanová has made one hell of a lapbar! Building upon the design of David Brosky's "Dbro Holder" she has made a most wonderful pedestal for my Stick. Scanned in, sculpted in CAD, constructed from reclaimed wood and carved with CNC technology, it's sturdy, funky and so very very comfortable. If you're in need of a good platform for your stick, drop her a line, ask her about options and in no time, she can whip up a top notch Dbro Holder for you! She's amazing!!!! Re: Dbro Holder
Nice - the use of flooring not only gives it a nice finish on top, but the laminated construction should also make it more rigid and stable.

Re: Dbro Holder
I am honored and very impressed with Steve and Patricia’s innovative work with the “DBro Holder”! I am able to play comfortably 3-4 hours at my gigs with it (no neck strap!) and solid control- and so can you! My official whole hearted endorsement! DBro

Re: Dbro Holder
Thanks for the info Steve - since Norway is (sort of) nearby I also ordered a "Dbro Holder" from Patricia, I just received it today. She did a really nice job. It looks/feels great and functions well. Holds the Stick very securely and at a perfect angle - great design David!

Re: Dbro Holder
That is really slick as well, Rob. Nice touch on the engraving.
How did she attach the "paddles" to the "body"? Did she use some sort of blind fasteners / dowels / biscuits, or just hefty glue? (Joints don't look dovetailed ... that would be a cool idea: a Dbro Holder that breaks down into three pieces for travel.)

She said the pieces are screwed and glued together, with a thin layer of veneer on the top plates to hide the screws, then everything stained.

I have one made by someone else and it’s a bit too tight of a fit so it doesn’t “attach” very easily. Is yours easy to slide onto / off of the belt hook ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Re: Dbro Holder
Hi Mike - yes it’s a great fit and the belt hook goes on and off very easily.
