Two accessories for the Chapman Stick
Hi All, I have made two accessories to hold the Chapman Stick. One is a stand and the other is a strap. Back in 2016 I posted a youtube video about them. https://youtu.be/mii9gXIUvggNow I've posted an updated video and I have straps for sale and can make stands on demand. https://youtu.be/mii9gXIUvggSelling the straps for $45 plus shipping ($5 within the United States, $15 outside the US) IMPORTANT NOTE: All new Straps come with the same "common sense" lock that all the Chapman Stick comes with, so no more Dunlop strap locks. And the stand pricing is to be determined since it's made on demand and can vary in customization. For the straps once I see payment come through (Venmo @Rico-Molden, or PayPal @ricomolden) And you email me with your address, I have the strap in the mail to you within 1 day. Email me a stickstrapsales@gmail.comI've started selling some, just based off of my YouTube videos and it's pretty cool to hear that players are liking them! Posting here to see if anyone else is interested in them. Cheers, Rico

Re: Two accessories for the Chapman Stick
Thank you for sharing this, Rico! Back in 2016 I followed your instruction and build my own Stick strap (and I still use it, both standing and sitting).
What about a combination of your two cradle systems? A small piece to mount on a cymbal stand, with two strap buttons (straploks or similar?).

You can also cut an original shoulder strap and attach it to a regular guitar strap. I would first try with a regular guitar strap and a textile tape to see if the position suits you at all. The stick does not hang quite as vertically as with the belt hook and shoulder strap. It is more the Cides/Adelsson position

It's a larger screw than the original buttons (Emmett filled the holes when Stick went in for truss). For my other Stick I made one of these straps and have found the best Strap-Lock it's called Loxx USA for acoustic guitars. The screw is the same size as original so you could always put the button back on, and the attachment piece for the strap stays on the strap so I have one on the original strap and one on the new strap. Very cool.

Re: Two accessories for the Chapman Stick
Hi Meugel, Thanks for helping to field some of the questions! Cool that you made a similar strap and are liking it! Boaz, right, for the Dunlop strap lock it uses a larger screw. You could always drill approx 1/2 inch away from the original strap mount if you wanted to use both. I trust the security of the Dunlop locks way more than the original twist fastener. Following up my first post, to order a strap I accept either Venmo @Rico-Molden, or PayPal @ricomolden Shipping the strap within the United States is $5 and outside is usually right around $15. I'm shipping from San Diego, CA. You can email me ( stickstrapsales@gmail.com) with your address, and once I see payment come through, I ship the strap that same day usually or the next day. All order within the US will get a tracking number. I've sold some already and am starting to get great feed back. Looking forward to hearing what you all think! Cheers, Rico
