Post Re: Advice for noob's practice amp and pedal looper?
Hi there, just tuning in: i had the HX stomp and traded it in for a Helix LT. I really liked the HX stomp but with the Helix LT i am much.... much more versatile in creating the sounds i want. You can use the guitar input and one of the return inputs. You can process each input separate. Works perfect. I don´t need anything else. With teh HX stomp i had to use the stepabout and a small mixer to make the sounds i needed but now i only use the helix LT. I plug the helix direct into a LD maui 28 (second gen.) array system (sort of bose system but better and more powerfull..that is just my opinion) and that´s it: result is a perfect chapman stick sound!

The Secret in Life - is finding out exactly what you want,
then opening your eyes and finding a way to get what you want.

- I bought my used Helix Floor for half the price of a new unit.
- My Stick and Railboard were both previously owned.
- I bought Celemony Melodyne Studio as used software.

Additionally, used Helix prices will probably come down even further in the next few months. So if you're at all interested, keep your eyes peeled around the used marketplaces and maybe a good deal might be enough to make you at least curious about trying one.

Correct, you can use the loop returns as additional instrument inputs.

Ok - that's what I'll be doing with my Headrush Gigboard. It only has one FX loop, but that's enough to do the job!
