Post Re: "official" Amp
For my practice rig, I use a Roland Cube Street Ex for the melody side (which has a good mic input as well). For the bass side I use the Roland Cube Bass amp.

Both amps can run on batteries, and have a lot of settings for EQ and physical modeling sounds.

I could play a coffeehouse with this rig also.

Recently I used the Cube Street Ex and an old SWR Workingman's 12 for bass. I ran both into house sound for an outdoor performance. That combination sounded great - very crisp and clear.

Right now I'm using a couple of Sans Amp rigs that my duo partner owns, into his sound system. I also use a Markbass Compressore for bass, an EH English Muffin (with low gain tubes) for the melody side, to warm it up a little, and a little reverb unit for the melody also. Strictly set-it-&-forget-it effects.

I'm still working on right hand tone with this rig.
