I've heard the E-Bow used on many instruments, but I prefer it on the Bass side only.
Here's an example on a fretless bass guitar.

Re: Anyone using the E-Bow?
I have tried my E-bow with Sticks and I think it works much better used with fretless guitar or bass.

Re: Anyone using the E-Bow?
Yes, but I prefer using it on one of my fretless basses and my acoustic guitar. Odd thing with my acoustic is I have to boost the signal or else it’s not as loud as conventional playing. There’s a guy on YouTube under the name “Chords of Orion” that gives some good advice on how to make them work. Lately I’ve been working on EBow via Michael Manring’s advice using a harmonizer with it. I’ve not had much success using it on a Stick, but I have seen a couple Stick players use them with great results. I believe I posted a vid of one here many years ago.
