Post Soft gig bag alternatives
Looking for a soft gig bag for a 12 Grand size Stick. Stick Enterprises appears sold out for years. Saving stock for new sticks perhaps. Anyone spot alternate manufacturers other than gun bags?

Hello~
Hope this helps♪
If you are looking to make a custom gig bag, this might be an option.

I know it's mostly in Japanese.... they are based in Tokyo, Japan.
I found them by chance when I was on tour there, and made a quick stop in between shows for a few hours. They measured my instrument and made me a full order gig bag. (Takes 4 steps-ish to measure what you would need to figure out the order) It is excellent! I have been traveling with it for years now and no problem with it whatsoever!

It says ¥58300 (JPY) about $401 USD is the starting point. (They probably go by scale length)

I would highly recommend using a padded bass guitar gig bag with a small blanket “wrap”.

I often do this. The stick is a bit small inside but a bit of extra padding works AND there is an additional benefit. I bring my stick into public places especially schools in the US a lot. I have been asked if I had a gun more than once….

It’s a sad state of affairs, but the “bass shape” to the bag gives clarity to any police or security of what the nature of the cargo is.

It’s an incredibly sad reality, but I feel much better with a bass guitar gig bag and some padding.

Good point. I'm pretty sure I recall a case some years ago where extreme action was taken against someone & all they were actually carrying was a piece of wood that was mistaken for something else...

You could look for a camera tripod bag.

Thank you very much for this advice...I just ordered on Amazon this type of bag 125 cms long. My stick is 120 cms long. That will be perfect. And it's padded.

There are padded gig bags for the ns design electric basses and cellos one of those two would probably work for the stick

Let me know how it fits, as my gig bag is showing some fatigue traces as well.

Bien sûr...of course...I'm supposed to receive it in September...
