Post Question about Eventide Time Factor
Does this pedal have reverb as well as the delay and chorus effects? If so, how good does it sound? I have a TC Nova Reverb pedal that does a nice job on reverbs and I use a Line 6 Echo Park for the occaisional delay. It would be nice to have a high end pedal that does both of these chores.

Matt,

Not sure about the Eventide, but this one is also worth checking out:

Cheers,

it doesn't have any true reverb settings. The unit also do not include a dedicated chorus preset, but a flange or chorus effect can be had by some of the presets. There are also settings to mimic reverb but they really don't compair to good reverb unit. I think when they built these smaller stomp units they took their high priced rack unit and separated them in to several stomp units.
The unit is really awsome for a bunch of delays and looping.

I recently decided to pull it out o the box and to integrate it into my rig. You can simulate some nice reverbs and chorus, as well as delays obviously, and the nice thing is that you can control any parameter with an expression pedal. It's an excellent pedal but it needs a software upgrade that every user seems to wait for (there may be some uncool defaults, like some glitches when changing the presets, and a bad spillover delay when changing from one preset to another). But all in all, maybe one of the best delay pedal on the market.
BTW, Duclon is right : you should have obviuosly some better results with some dedicated rack unit, but it wouldn't be the same price and the same portability.

Thanks for the info, guys. I guess Eventide needs to come up with a "ReverbFactor" pedal. I ditched my rack a while ago in favor of dedicated pedals, so I'm always on the lookout for high-end single function pedals. I just might snag the TimeFactor; the fidelity of my Line6 delay pedal leaves a lot to be desired!

Wow! Thanks for the link on the Glass Nexus pedal, Andy. That is one of the coolest pedals I've ever seen. I wonder where I could try one of these. I know Guitar Center doesn't carry high end pedals like this.

The MXR Carbon Copy pedal has an excellent analog delay sound for the price and pedal space.

Matt,

Seems like the Glass Nexus is out of stock everywhere, including DC's online store. Might be worth sending them an email.

I've only seen one of these once in Australia, along with their Timeline delay (stereo in/out on both). IMO they sound great, but a lot of people don't like the "big footprint" on a pedal board.

Cheers,
Andy

Thanks for the links, Andy. I'll definitely check it out. I don't mind the big footprint of the pedal. I have a big pedalboard! :)
