Need help to find a music store in New York for E-Bow
Hi all,
I would like to buy an E-Bow for my Stick and I would need, if anyone from New York City could provide it to me, the addresses of music stores where I could find it. I have a friend there that can buy it for me and bring it back to Italy but I have no idea where to send him to buy it!
Anyone cold help me with some music store addresses in New York City?
thanks a lot and happy new year to all! virna

Hi Virna, sorry, but I don't have a clue which music stores in New York have one in stock ...? But you could go there http://www.klangfarbe.at/ (just type "e-bow" into the search engine) phone them and let them send it too you. I suppose that shipping costs wont be too high from Austria to Italy?! regards hoerli

From Austria I guess would be more or less the same price including VAT and shipping.... I thought it was easier to find it in USA but it seems not so easy at all thanks ciao virna

It looks like they are hard to get now in the US. Most sites listing they say they are out of stock. http://www.zzounds.com/item--HTSEBOWhttp://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Ebow/This company shows in stock, but who knows. http://www.amazon.com/Heet-Sound-Plus-E ... B000N5MK8M

virna New version? Is there a newer version than the E-bow + that was introduced some 10 years ago? If you find one, if might be good to buy it whereever you find it. I found some info on E-bow´s swedish distrubutors website. They write that they are out of e-bows and that the company that makes them has taken a "time-out" and they dont know if/when they´ll get new ones in stock. And this was about a year ago....... So if you find one, buy it. It seems like Thomann has them in stock for 99 EUR. Order one there. Thomann is a very good webstore and I´ve bought things from them several times. http://www.thomann.de/it/search_dir.html?sw=e-bow&x=0&y=0Good luck//Jan Hellman/Sweden

Have you tried eBay? I can't check at work because the site is blocked, but all sorts of musical equipment shows up there.

Hi Virna and Happy New Year. Sam Ash on 48 St in NY always carried the E-Bow. They used to cost around $80 US We always see the E-Bow guys at NAMM. The main dude who demos, is also a Stick owner. Ciao Steve A

Just found out that Thomann are out of e-bows as well even if their website says that they have them in stock. So no luck there. Sorry.

Re: Need help to find a music store in New York for E-Bow
I just sent a modified third-generation E-bow to Virna this afternoon. Not as nice as the fourth generation, but the modification will work well on her fretless. If anyone steals that one, they will never be able to use it live without getting caught, just look for someone with with an E-bow with sanded-flush grooves on it Looking at some of those websites, "Good Grief"!!!! Some were advertising list prices beyond the stated $120 list price on http://www.Ebow.com. I got mine for $80, which a couple of websites were also listing these for. I liked the one that said "List $135, now $129"

Re: Need help to find a music store in New York for E-Bow
Seems like E-bows are manufactured again, for those who are interested. I´ve found them in several places here in Scandinavia and they have them in stock at Thomann and other on-line music stores as well. I´m sure they can be found in USA now too. They´ve been just impossible to get ahold of for some time now so this is good news I´d say.
