I have made the decision to indulge my fantasy of the last 10 years and get a stick. I have been lurking and dreaming for so long I know I’ll pick it right up. I am not new to music both a professional classical performer and hack prog bass/guitarist. I got some questions for you experienced Stickist mostly about your rigs.
In the past my rigs have gone through just about everything you can dream of (pedals amps and racks). My current rig is very similar to Adrian belew’s pre axe fx rig.

I am looking to get a NS stick. As the stick (especially the NS stick) is a tapping/slap/pop instrument. Do you find that you need a line compressor/limiter right off of the pickups?

In my own experience with midi guitar (axon/Roland) tapping does not seem to track all that well. Is this the same on Stick?
