Tuner?
Hey guys!
As I begin working out my live rig, I was wondering what you are using for tuners? I was looking at the Korg Pitchblack Plus, because it has 2 inputs, but it seems to be out of production (and with the stereo/mono switch on the NS/Stick, it's not critical). The 5 programmable tunings would have been really nice, though.
Love Korg stuff, and the Pitchblack display, so I'm kind of looking at the Pitchblack portable, but I'm open to all suggestions.
Thanks!
~Michael

Snark ( clip on ) SN-2 ALL INSTRUMENT TUNER
Can't tell you how much I love this little tuner has 2 modes vibration or Mic I leave it clipped on all the time and use it in vibration mode for the price and for how well it works can't beat it

Re: Tuner?
I was thinking about this as well. Every time I tune I plug into NI's Guitar Rig to do so.

Re: Tuner?
iStrobosoft tuner by peterson tuners. Strobe tuners are the best in my opinion and this one kicks ass. Use the stobe to get close, then use the +- decimal cents to achieve extreme accuracy. You can use a cable (iRig) or the mic. If you have and iPad or iPhone, this notes for you. 10 bucks at the app store.
No need to tune in stereo, that I can see......what are other peoples thoughts?
The PodHD500 has a really good tuner in it as well, but thats a whole other ballgame.
cheers, kev

Re: Tuner?
I have a Snark SN-2, but it hasn't performed as expected. Sometimes I have to give it a smack before it will start detecting any note, and even then it is sluggish on the lowest bass strings.
Others have reported good results with the SN-2 on Stick, so it is likely I simply have a faulty unit.
I replaced it with a Korg AW-2, which performs well, with only a slight delay to detect the lowest bass string.
I prefer the the display and button placement on the Snark, so maybe I'll take a chance on getting a new one.

Intellittouch PT-10. I buy them three at a time they are so cheap. One is always in the gig bag, one in the gear bag and extra in the big gig gear bag.

Re: Tuner?
Michael, good to see you on the forum! I use a Planet Waves Chromatic Pedal Tuner. Since both of my Sticks have stickups, I use an active mixer coming off my pedalboard, and then directly into the Planet Waves Tuner so I can tune either side at any time. This is a great stage tuner, you can see it brightly and Kev-C, it does both Strobe and Sweep depending on your internalization preference. http://www.amazon.com/Planet-Waves-Chromatic-Strobe-PW-CT-04/dp/B004NFVGY2gotta be in tune! take care, Dave B PS if you have it in a chain, at the end like I do, or post, turn off echo or reverb before it and before tuning.
