Programmable Step Filter
I have plans to create rhythms with a programmable step filter, but nothing seems to really be that flexible out there. This is close.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HggWSiVgnGc#t=167

Re: Programmable Step Filter
Yes, it sound very good in that video presentation! He's got some really cool bass sound when jamming through the end of the video. Thanks for posting!
The thing that impressed me the most though is the Hot Hand. I have all those effects inside my amp, but no Hot Hand support, so for that typical dubstep bass wobble sound I use to run a fuzz through a wha and have the wha wobbling modulated by a sequencer that I typically set to a 4 bar cycle of two bars at straight 8th note sweeps and two bars at triplets.

Re: Programmable Step Filter
The Adrenalinn does filter sequences very well, if that's what you mean:

Re: Programmable Step Filter
To me the Soundblox looks more interesting than the Adranalinn (although I prefer open modular systems rather then a bunch of features locked into a pedal), at least from what you can tell by manuals and presentation videos. The Soundblox sounds "more techno" while the Adrenalinn sounds more like "guitar pedals", of course it's a matter of taste. A bass player I think uses dynamical filtering in a cool way is this guy that plays with Jojo Mayer in Nerve:

Still there are so many pedals out there, it would be amazing to own a Moog.

Re: Programmable Step Filter
Adrenalin 111 is almost more of what I want, damn you have to make your own effect to get exactly what you want and I'm not going down that route..
I wanted us to be friends.
Ha Rob, Classic.! I don't think I quite have your skill set , me old. What I'm concerned with is the ability to personalise the rhythmic aspect of these effects. I can imagine the midi murf would be pretty happening, I'm just not sure of the degree to which you can tweak the rhythm. It seems Roger Linn has this side of it down in the preset phase and then some in the vst. Undecided.

Re: Programmable Step Filter
Hey Per/Robsta.
Could you run a Stick through Filterscape on a laptop, then out to front of house. I have a UR44 interface.

I don't know about the Moog, but you can edit and store individual sequences in the Adrenalinn. (Have a look at the manual: http://www.rogerlinndesign.com/downloads/adrenalinn3/docs/AdrenaLinn_III_Users_Manual_v302_5-14-08.pdf:) One limitation is that the number of steps is fixed (From the manual: "the User sequence contains 2 measures of 1/16 notes. (However, it may be played as either 1/8 notes, 1/8 note triplets or 1/16 notes, depending on the setting of the drumbeat‘s Timebase parameter.). You can also get a third party editor, which makes editing easier: http://www.soundtower.com/adrenalinn/index2.htm
