Post Sadowsky bass preamp
I bought an outboard Sadowsky bass preamp a while back to run my American Precision through and it made an amazing difference in the tone of the instrument. (It's the exact same electronics you get in a Sadowsky bass) It was like the tone went from black and white to technicolor. Well yesterday for giggles I ran the bass side of my Stick through it and it blew me away. There are no mid controls on the preamp, Sadowsky is on record saying he doesn't believe in them, although "some" of his basses have mid controls. However it really brings out the highs and lows in a very clean and rich way and the lack of mid control doesn't matter. You can get them directly from Sadowsky for $289.

A week ago I bought (and reported to the forum) a BOSS ME-80 peddle for the melody side of the Stick and it's also amazing. Not to mention having a great preamp and selection of amp models it has every effect you could ever want. Between the BOSS ME-80 and Sadowsky bass preamp my Stick sounds like it never did before. IT went from black and white to technicolor for a total combined price of $588 (plus shipping for the Sadowsky peddle) I would recommend this combo of peddles to anyone playing Stick ... simply amazing! (I'd also recommend the Sadowsky bass preamp to any bass player using a passive instrument.)

That's a great idea! Love the Sadowsky sound!

What kind of pickup you have on your Stick?

PASV4 - the original with the pickup selector knobs on the top.
