This is a low cost option to other tapping instruments, such as a Warr Guitar or Chapman Stick. It is a stereo instrument, with guitar tuning on one side and bass tuning on the other side. For optimal sound, play from two amps, a bass amp and guitar amp. There have been several upgrades made to the instrument: Duesenberg Crunch Bucker pickup on guitar strings, Duesenberg Bass Bucker on bass strings, locking tuners. This instrument needs some repair work on the neck to make it straight and minor fret-work. Cost estimate for work is between $300 to $600, which has been reflected in the price. The instrument had a complete refret job in 2018 but needs some additional work for proper intonation. Besides the neck, fretwork issues, there is a small nick in the back of the instrument, which does not affect playability. Comes with gig bag, stereo cable and extra strings. |
