I just bought a brand new 10 string stick, and I realized that my hands aren't big enough to get the proper leverage to play the thing. I was wondering if anyone wanted to trade a sb8 for my brand new 10 string. There is less than 2 hours worth of playtime on it. It is in flawless condition. I feel that a stick bass would be a better fit for me.
Hi Johnny,
What you're writing doesn't make sense. First off, the last thing you need to play The Stick is leverage, so I think there mush just be something amiss. From a physical effort perspective, I think The Stick is probably the easiest stringed instrument you'll find.
Additionally, the SB8 is the same width as the 10-string, so I don't see how that would make things any different. The size of your hands really doesn't make any difference if you get the instrument positioned properly.
I can help you get started off on the right foot with a short lesson on skype.
Maybe you are having a reaction to the difference in the tuning, which is easy to fix, either by learning the new tuning or simply reconfiguring the instrument. Don't abandon things so quickly.
Something made you decide to get this instrument. Think it over. Email me if you prefer:
