Selling a rare (not sure how many have been made, but this is the only one I've ever seen) 7-string stick bass. Rosewood, adjustable bridge, truss rod, rods.
Currently tuned in 4ths BEADGCF.
All original in great condition.
The pickup is an original bartolini+lace unit which is very sweet - bartolini gives a full sort of soft sound and Lace gives an awesome rickenbackerish growl. The unit is mono, and has a pickup selector switch. I would recommend to add a blend knob so you can blend a bit of lace into bartolini for the perfect sound.

Comes with a hard case, strap included.
Located in Moscow (can send photo and video proofs of legitimacy if needed)

Asking USD 1700, accepting paypal.

Still avaiable with worldwide shipping, price could be reasonably discussed. Ready to answer any questions and/or provide more pictures/sounds at request, also can provide vouches by universally respected musicians in general and stick community members in particular if you (understandably so) don't feel secure dealing with a Russian seller.

as you see, desperation starts kicking in, but the dignity is still there )

Yeah I built it, SB7 #1013 in a single production of a dozen in Sept. 1995. I was no doubt hypnotized by a smaller house with narrow garage that I converted into SE's workshop while my Woodlake Ave. house was undergoing earthquake repair right across the street.

It was also to prove a point, that neck and body mass has almost nothing to do with tone on an electric string tapping instrument, and by inference, that the bodiless Stick design was valid, even in the bass register.

Jim Lampi might still have his SB7, tuned to his specs, reversed 5ths across the board, like the bass side of a Grand Stick with an extra string. We strategically tuned it from very low A at the 1st string position and up in 5ths to D#/Eb at the 7th position.

I'm still proud of my one-time construction of the rhomboid pickup module. Good to go, I'd say, "from Russia with love".

I remember a newsletter from Stick announcing that baby. Man, I wanted one. I would buy that sucker in a heartbeat if I wasn't considering a Fearless cabinet build (need a stage rig more than ANOTHER Stick...) SOMEONE BUY THAT BABY

Still avaiable.

Edit: sold, hopefully the new owner will do the instrument justice unlike me.
