Robstafarian wrote: Nice! How does it sound through your fEARful? It sounds killer, though I still need to get new strings for it--the old "B" on my backup set is dying. Now that you mention it, I should probably revisit the L-pad on my fEARful (I usually run the highs on the horn tweeter rolled off a bit) and see how that affects the tone. Our trio's rehearsing on Monday, so I'll get a better idea how well it works with the group. I'm thinking of picking up another G2 or MPX 1 so I can tailor my bass-side delay/reverb effects a little better (the G2 can do both sides but I've come to realize it would still be easier having a separate processor for each side). Then I'll build a smaller complementary cabinet (doesn't need to go quite as low as the fEARful) so I can run those effects pseudo-stereo. |

Are you prepared for how that will complicate your stage layout? I am still planning to build a fEARful, probably a True Three Way 1212/6 (I think I could get an Okoume build below 60 pounds), but for now I am focused on finishing my prototype, filing my patent application, and starting a business: it is my best chance to get to the other side of the poverty threshold. |

Robstafarian wrote: Are you prepared for how that will complicate your stage layout? Just an extra cable and cabinet, really. I could handle EQ in the Lexicons, though I suppose it'd be easier gig-to-gig having a physically accessible highpass filter for the second cabinet. My keyboardist just started doing Stereo--gotta keep up with the joneses! Best of luck to you. My brother's been actually working on several hi-fi cabinet designs for the home market, and several of them sound amazing. I think sometimes the biggest problem is just getting past the design phase and getting your product out there. |

I've been away for a while... probably over 2 months since I have been on Stickist.com... sorry for my late comments... Is this the green half-fretless from San Francisco? I saw the earlier post and contacted him about what is being said in this forum... If I had to funds I would have totally bought it... Congrats! |
