I forgot if I already asked this. What do you want for NS instruction material? Like do you prefer tabs or like scale grids or what has been good for your learning style. Do you like basic shapes and patterns, tips and ideas on how I use them? OR less of my take on it and more universal? Like normal musical examples and more concrete "real" music theory.

So far its "8 string NS Stick, a hybrid approach". This ideally integrates all techniques and intermingles them.

My english will be edited by another real human too, so my fast posts here should not reflect my level of intelligence haha@

Im not really sure why Im doing this except to teach myself and learn from pondering on it. Maybe seeing what has brought me musical fun. I guess I want to focus on what strengths I have and add personality to it. My examples so far are just a start and I want to make it ace for yawl.

There are a few other people involved, if you want to help let me know

Here is a super ruff example without the voice over or musical synch. It should not make too much sense yet I'm just showing some ideas...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbWNReBLMA8

-side note: there will be ten string stuff too.

Here is an example of my idea of the hybrid approach. Here I'm just looping and using different techniques.

Here is an NS acid rap for learning. This is at the far spectrum of the pseudo joke/insane style.

U dig the NS chart and color choice?

I really like the grid. Will you be making a standard 4th tuning grid?

Yeah I can do all 4ths. I think most of my material can be translated, some not. You want to write an article or 2 my friend? Maybe condense your videos to the page?

Cheers

Ok, sweet skydiver. Here is a fast rundown of the 5 techniques.

I will add examples and pause the talking in version 2. If anyone wants to pick a technique to play, and record a brief video clip of it would be great!

No fighting now, ;) only 5 human NS players needed.... Lets rock this NS project. Still prototyping but making progress.

Here a pretty nice example of solo NS looping with fx and the hybrid approach style. Turnado is the iPad app used for fx, some looping and overall rhythmic insanity.

hope you dig
