Post NS/Stick on a lovely recording.
Hi everyone,
I was fortunate enough to play on this track. This tune features the late Kelly Groucutt of Electric Light Orchestra singing. I played NS/Stick for the bass parts... (oh loud and punchy in the mix too!). It really shows off how lovely these instruments (Sticks in general) fit into a mix. The NS/Stick especially as a bass both plucked and/or tapped pop out in a recording even if under mixed. "Fortunately and happily" not the case here. Mastered at "Abby Road Studios"... they treated it right.

Side note of slight interest: I also arranged and played the strings parts (Viola, cellos) and a little Mandolin just because... the track with Kelly singing and Andy Kinch arranging/playing keyboards and Mellotron... it already sounded like ELO SooOoO I went the extra mile to arrange the strings to accentuate that.

Go to the link http://mrrmusic.com/album/everlastin-love/ and you can hear it and purchase if you like.
Enjoy,
/Don

Indeed "a sonic museum" crafted with love! True to style. Very nice! It's a pleasure to hear vocalists like that.
