Just got an e-mail from Steve Osburn, my new NS is ready to ship to his store from SE. All Wenge neck and body, fret rails. Emmett bought back my old NS which I bought from Steve Osburn back in 2004 used. Since then the frets have worn down to where I could no longer tolerate it anymore. Was time to get a new one. My Grand has fret rails, I really love that design, plus I used to have an all Wenge Warwick fretless, and my old NS had a Wenge neck, so it was an easy choice for me to go full Wenge with the new one. Despite the worn frets, the old NS is still a solid instrument. Fret rails had me pretty stoked, I'm also considering doing something similar with my electric guitar, GASing over one with stainless steel frets

That's two NS's coming to Michigan in the last couple of weeks, keeping Emmett & Gary busy 8-)

Congratulations, Steve! I can't wait to see it! Wenge is my new favorite guitar/Stick wood and a Wenge Grand is hopefully my next Stick. That new NS plus your new Helix Line 6 will put you to rocking it out pretty hard! You'll have to let me share in your GAS fulfillment and let me tap a bit on the NS and then that'll complete the Gear-aching that Dean started in me with his NS Stick channel and videos. So many pretty Sticks!

Congrats, Steve!

Steve Osburn and I got to meet Dean and Don face to face for the first time last year during the NAMM show. Both of those guys still have old NS's that were even older than mine.

I'll get to perform in a few weeks running my guitar through the Helix with Oz for his Know Obstacles benefit gig with the guitar group that meets every Thursday night. Plays well with Oz's acoustic, lots of tones to choose from, even scaling down a bit. The looper in it is awesome. Will be using that to practice the songs with.

Thanks guys! You are right about Michigan. Jeff Luebke lives a few miles north of me. He owns the peach- fade NS featured in "Hotshots" that Gary created. Looks like I'll leave this in the straight fourths tuning. Plays nice with the Helix through the QSC. Having issues with tweaking the Markbass in the high register. A new bass amp is high on my priority list next.

The Helix definitely adds to what you can do with an NS in straight fourths tuning. My previous NS was tuned down. I do notice the different feel of going to a Wenge body. Stick Enterprises hit a home run for me with this upgrade.

Oh, god, Steve, that Wenge just looks SOOOOOOO awesome! So this one is in straight 4ths tuning? I thought you were gonna put it into guitar tuning?

Somewhat changing my mind on that. "Factory setup" on a new NS is fantastic. I bought that old one used in 2004 Perhaps I should have sent it in for a setup. However, back then the amps I had did not have the capability of what I have now. You can see one of the custom cabs I had built years back still in Oz's store. I traded the old gear with him around 2009

Nice! Let me know how the old NS vs rails feel/sound is! I have a wenge NS too, love it!
