Howdy all!

I just acquired my NS/Stick this past Thursday! Unfortunately I had to board a plane the very next morning so I haven't had a chance to really explore it much. In fact I didn't even get any pics!

However, here's the info on it...

#31114 Made Nov. 2003.
Roland GK-3 MIDI pickup
Hardshell Anvil flight case
Stereo cable
Extra set of strings
All adjustment tools
All original paperwork

It is in excellent condition, dare I say Mint even? It was hardly ever played. The previous owner and myself were in a band together and I would occasionally play it at gigs so I may have played it even more than he did.
One thing he did was to instal a Dunlop Straplok to the extension arm. He accomplished this by using a short bolt and a Nylok nut. The Nylok is a locking nut which uses a nylon gasket that seats against the nut's threads and locks against the bolt when wrenched down. He sandwiched the extension arm between the Straplok and Nylok while using the bolt in place of the provided wood screw. It's been on there since he added it back in 2004 and it is solid and hasn't budged an inch. Pretty simple and ingenious. As soon as I get back home I will post pics.

This is a great idea. I'd love to see picks of it and do it on my NS/Stick.

Congrats! I'd also like to see the screw thing. Sounds useful for my NS.

Best of luck and rock it out!

I don’t use a strap lock there, on the other side yes. I set my strap up long enough to pass the metal arm through two holes in the strap. The hook is holding on to the inner hole while the excess remains in place further down the arm. I can provide a pic later if this isn’t clear.
Might not work with certain straps, but I really like the D’Addario strap that Emmett included with my new NS. The older one I had was a thinner leather and I don’t recall being able to do this.

That blows my mind! I never thought to use the strap that way! I have the same strap, and it's a really nice one.

The funny thing is that Steve Oz had to tell me that I had it on my NS/Stick backwards! I had the fat and the thin ends reversed. It worked just fine backwards, but once he pointed it out to me, I was like "oh, yeah, that makes more sense!"

I'll have to try it that way, Steve, looping it through two holes! Thanks!

Glad you like it Steve, as far as what’s backwards, I put straps on either way depending on the instrument. Sometimes the excess can be annoying and I’ll switch ends so it hangs out the back. NS has always been this way though
