This song if the 1st tune I've composed exclusively for the NS Stick. All parts were performed live to recorder using only NS Stick. All effects and processing was done after the fact with the onboard effects in my Korg D1600 recorder. The only outboard effect was a Zoom G2 guitar peddle used for the "lead" sound. All drums and percussion were also played live to the recorder using a Roland TD10 V-Drum kit... no sequencing or drum machine tracks were used. One other thing ... it's called No Sun Blues ... or NS Blues! Get it? One other thing ... the song was done totally using Emmett's two hand tapping method ... no bass guitar or regular guitar methods were used.
Hope you like it!

Re: NEW NS Stick original tune
Very cool, Ray. The NS just has that bass tone that I haven't heard in any other bass. Great job with the song.

Ray - what a great song! hey, you didn't tell us you had a great voice too! Your band must have been nuts, or certifiable to give you any gruff. I heard they formed a new band, called "the Real Losers". with the loss of your talent, it sure fits.
I loved this piece, and it brought back my formative years with a great mix of Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton, Michael Franks, some Floyd, the Crusaders, and I thought I heard some visionary vocal/changes/arranging from Todd Rungren!
Enjoy the NS and can't wait for the next post! dave brosky - Pittsburgh

Dave you're WAY too kind ... thank you so much! Thank you ALL for your kind words! It really feels good to get some feedback and know some people are actually getting the hear some of my music. And even better if they like it!
I have a ton of tunes that will be posted however many of the older tunes aren't Stick tunes so they won't be physically posted here, they'll be on my sites. I will make mention however when i post new material in case people are interested.
Thanks a lot man ... I thought people forgot about it! It's been posted for a while. Unfortunately it's my only NS Stick tune and recently i sold my NS Stick because I was in great need of a new computer and recording software. (Bought a 24" iMac and Logic Express software) If you have time please visit my web site www.rayrlmusic.com and check out my other music. I think i have around 16 tunes currently posted in MANY different styles. Most are played on "traditional rock instruments" but all are totally original and I wrote, played and recorded everything live to track. I hope you like what you hear and thanks for the complement on NS Blues.
