My boards were upgraded last week from a hybrid of phpbb 2.something to phpbb 3.0 Our db was the size of Texas and we had to prune off close to 700k posts in order to make the transfer over to our new server(convenient, eh?). Well, there was corruption as well so the critical part was having the last backup of each step available to the mods and admins to salvage what they could. Anyways, here's to phpbb3.0 ..... and getting to try out the stick and maybe even adding one to complement my NS this year. |
