Post Half-Fretless NS/Stick For Sale
In a few days, I will be offering my Half-Fretless NS/Stick for sale on eBay. If you or someone you know is interested, I would be happy to entertain offers prior to listing the instrument. You can email me at srmurrell@hfcc.edu with questions or comments. I would also be happy to respond with images of the instrument.

When the listing goes up, the text will read something like this:

You are bidding on a rare instrument that is the result of a collaborative effort between Emmet Chapman (of Chapman Stick fame) and Ned Steinberger (designer of some of the highest quality, most innovative basses in the world). But, you probably already knew that. Anyway, I am the original owner and when this particular instrument was made a year ago, it was one of only ten half-fretless NS/Sticks on the planet.

This instrument is in ‘like-new’ condition. It has a Roland GK-3 MIDI pickup that was installed by Stick Enterprises (to utilize the GK-3, you will need a Roland GR-20 guitar synthesizer or something similar.) The neck is graphite and the body is walnut, dyed black. I have included several images that can speak to the appearance. It comes with a shoulder strap, a 15’ stereo cable, an anvil flight case and a padded gig bag. A new set of round-wound strings was installed a couple of days ago.

To learn more about the NS/Stick and see it demonstrated, visit http://www.stick.com/news/halffretless_ns.html
and then see
http://www.stick.com/instruments/ns/

For comparison, if ordered new from Stick Enterprises today, the prices would be:
NS/Stick: $2,100
Half-fretless option: $200
Roland GK-3 MIDI pickup (installed): $480
Anvil flight case: $200
Padded soft gig bag: $120
Total: $3,100 (plus shipping)

Payment must be made only through PayPal (or cash if you live within 50 miles of Ann Arbor, Michigan) and is due within three days of auction end date. No exceptions – if payment is not received within 3 days of auction end, this item will be re-listed. Total payment must include the purchase cost (the highest bid) plus shipping and insurance (if you want to insure the package). Use the shipping cost calculator, then see the link below for insurance costs.
Items will be shipped within 1 business day of PayPal payment confirmation. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and optional insurance. For more information on shipping insurance costs, see http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/shipping-insurance.html

Good Luck!

LOL - Missed it by *that much!* I already bought Glenn's (which I believe was previously yours) NS a couple weeks ago! Oh, the irony!

Now that IS funny!!

Well funny in an ironic way but believe me, we in the forum would have never told you something we didn't totally believe. Honestly I can't believe a half fretless has become available! In any event I hope you're happy with the standard NS. If it was mine, I used it professionally for a year (I babied it) as a two hand tapping BASS and it served me well. What a wonderfully flexable instrument. I only sold it when I semi-retired from gigging and needed cash for recording gear. I hope you love it!

It's all good! I *am* extremely happy with the instrument. Now that I've had the fretted and done some slapping on it I have a feeling it might be good to have both. Just not in the financial cards right now. ;)

I just posted pics on this thread:

Check it out and see if it looks familiar. 8-)

Sorry for the threadjack - OP--I don't think you'll have a problem getting this sold! :D

That sure does look like my old friend!!! I miss her! :-( But I'm glad she's found a good home and looks like she did on day 1!
