Does anyone know the answer to this question? Also, how many production runs are there per year?

I asked about this option when I was going to order a NS from SE . Anyway it was not an option I think for some reason having to do with the blanks. But of course it is possible....
I ended up getting a used one but have not had it tattooed yet .

I don't know how many production runs there are but it would appear that the wait time is
not what it used to be. Call Cambria she is very nice 8-).

There are now several stick-type tunings listed in the standard tuning offerings at stick.com:

So, possible and...recommended!

How often do they update/add to the reserve instrument list? I'm hoping to get an NS stick in the color I want. Yes, I know I can just order it, but I'm trying to save the $300 from list price ;)

There's no real schedule. It all depends on whether there's extra capacity in a production run.

Hi Greg,

do you think an NS Stick could be tuned in this way?

8. F# (for bass they use a .150 string)
7. B
6. E
5. A
4. D
3. G
2. C
1. F

I thank you!

I don't think an F# would sound very good "tapped", but that's just speculation. It also might be too thick to clear the tensioning studs at the end of the neck. The space between those is probably the limiting factor here.

Look at these photos and you'll see what I mean:

I don't have an NS/Stick myself. If someone wants to measure the space between those with a micrometer and post it that would be great.

mmm.. I have not considered the distance between the tensioning studs at the end of the neck.. mmm

I thank you!

I'm trying it with the other way on the bass side.
E A D G G C F Bb

I also tuned it down a 1/2 step so that first fret is where the traditional open string tuning would be and I can still get a low E by tapping.

I'm wondering if it's possible to have a 10 string NS/Stick.
B E A D G G C F Bb Eb
Maybe too wide with the wider spacing on the bass side... but I think it would work. IMHO... :ugeek:

The bamboo neck on the NS is my favorite. The rails felt great on it as well.
