Re: My new setup....
Well, I do have the RC-300 since 2 weeks now and I cannot tell that much about it. But what I really like it the separate track controls it has and the effects loop possibility and which intensity can be controlled by the pedal. Don't know if the RC-50 has that too. Well the setup was a recommendation from Don and I really like it. You know I have regular lessons with Don and this is real fun as he did explore the NS Stick completely out of nowhere and he really developed some nice stuff on the NS. I am still in the process of getting used to the devices but Don helped me giving me the patches he uses mainly with the NS and he has some real gorgeous sounds. Take a listen to his album "Peering over Clouds" and you know what I mean. As for my two NS Sticks: I noticed that there is a sound difference between them. The new bamboo neck is more defined than the old wenge one but the wenge neck sustains better.... Oh yes, and I have just ordered a half-fretless as well..... Oliver

Interesting, thanks for the cursory comparison! Quote: Oh yes, and I have just ordered a half-fretless as well..... I'm insanely jealous! What neck are you ordering the half-fretless with?

I'd like to know too, but to my knowledge there has not been a fix. Maybe(?) But how would it work anyway; I don't think it would work using USB? So you would need to send it in to Boss?. Anyway I use the Rc-50 for storing ideas and have been using a Boomerang 3 for live looping but my personal preference is a Electro Harmonix 2880 http://www.ehx.com/products/2880 Needless to say and not intending to highjack the thread, they all work great with the NS. *J* .`

Zaubertuba, The half fretless will have a wenge neck, ash body and a strong green dye. Oliver

Re: My new setup....
DaveJ: finally got a workable rig. the PODX3 Live into a JBLEON515XT. Morley Wah in the loop. after years of trying the amp simulations, i discovered the vocal studio board pre-amps. (Bass player: "But i want my AMP sound." Engineer: "Shut up and plug in direct.") the EON moves SERIOUS air. i traded my Pedulla 5-string frettless for it (i know, i know) but now i introduce myself as Stickist. made the total leap of faith. i want TWO EONs for true stereo (what a practice amp) and a SUBWOOFER. did someone say GAS???!!!
