Post Joining the family.
Finally joining the family. Very happy to be the proud owner of NS/Stick # EHC 121221.

Thanks for putting up with me as I researched this purchase in depth. :)

Looking great! The NS seems very useful but I still haven't gotten around to try out one. How would you say it compares to regular eight stringed guitars? I think the guitars suffer sound-wise down at the lowest strings and my guess is that this is because of the thick strings related the shorter scale. The NS has a longer scale so I'm imagining it might sound better down there and the NS also lets you treat the four lower strings differently. Strange that no one of the manufacturers of eight stringed guitars has picked up this excellent idea.

Thanks guys!

I was talking with Samson Covatch and he pointed out the serial # is Dec 21, 2012 (end of the Mayan calendar) in Euro format.
I though that was pretty funny, and have always liked the design of the Mayan calendar disc, so I've decided to name her "Maya".
Eventually I'll have the calendar design laser engraved, but likely just on the back.

Per, I've not played it yet (should be here by early next week) and I've not played 8-string guitars, so maybe someone else will know?
I'd suspect you're right though.

And Michael Stipe feels fine. She sure is a beauty. Now, will you be calling me about electronics for processing? Because these babies can growl!

The pic was emailed from Cambria, I posted it on Facebook and just used the [ img ] tags to post it directly here.

Electronics? I'm all ears.
I'm tapped out and it will be a while before I can do anything about pedals, etc., but I have started the research.

I was just toying around in Photoshop, but I think Maya looks pretty good with a tattoo. :)
(Her serial number was the Mayan Apocalypse, lol!)
