Amp for high end of NS/Stick
I recently got an NS/Stick and am mostly trying to play through two separate amps to really take advantage of the stereo output. I use a Peavey tube amp with my guitar and have been using it for the high 4 strings of my NSS, but I don't really care for the tone. The pickups on the NSS are a lot hotter than my strat and I can't get ever seem to get a really clean tone out of the Peavey, regardless of the gain vs output levels. I was thinking maybe a Vox or a Fender amp... Any suggestions for an amp suitable for mid sized gigs? My price range is around $600 but I could bump it up a couple hundred if it really needs it. Thanks!

Try turning the volume pot down abit on the melody side of the NS/Stick to get a clean sound from the amp.
Or it might be time to get new tubes for your amp? Old tubes tend to distort easily.
I´ve used a early Fender Cybertwin for the melody side of my Stick for about 10 years and I tried it with my NS/Stick just the other day. Works great. Don´t think that Fender makes the Cybertwin these days tho.

Re: Amp for high end of NS/Stick
I have used a Fender Bassman for the melody side in the past, but the amp is simply to big to cart around. I have also tried a JC-120, which are just about as big but much more versatile.
Greg is a big proponent of the Fender Twin, and I would have to agree. Perfect size, versatile and projects all those crispy mids nicely.

Thanks for the suggestions! I tried out a keyboard amp, a Vox, and a Fender Blues Jr and I think I'm going with the Fender. Good tone and portability for a decent price.

Try also if you can the biggest Fender bass amp from the Rumble series, it's surprisingly good, especially price-wise.
