Post Stereo switch concerns
I almost exclusively play in stereo through two separate amps and I've been noticing a good amount of bass coming through in the guitar amp. I'd expect a little bit to come through due to how close the strings and pickup sets are, but the volume of the bleed in to the treble side increases when the volume of the bass side is increased. This leads me to believe that it's more of an electrical problem with the stereo switch.
Has anyone had this same problem; any suggestions?
Thanks!

Which pickup are you using and how old is your Stick?

It's coming up on two years old and it's with EMG pickups.

Kstick posted on the NS Stick forum, so I guess there's only one pickup option on the NS Stick ;)

I know when I've had a glitch in my split signal path where my bass processing stopped working, nothing from the bass side came through the treble side, so I think you may have an issue.

Stereo switch is a good place to start at. Is there much difference when you switch between stereo/mono?

Right, I never take too much notice of "which" forum a post is in.

That being said, I presume it is an NS. I have noticed some bleed when using stereo operation with my Paduak 10 string, but I do not use a lot of heavy processing so it's mostly indiscernible.

Get an expert on the matter. Call into Gary Jibilian at SE.

Also, even if I have the switch set to mono the bass bleeds heavily through the guitar amp.

I gave SE a call and am waiting for a response. I was just wondering if this is a common thing and if there are any ways that you guys have found to work with it.

To zaubertuba,
The bass bleeds through the guitar amp whether it's in stereo or mono.

Definitely a problem there. Have you tried a different Y-cable?

I tried a couple Y cables and a splitter in to two normal quarter inches. Same bleed, same volume.
