So, where's that method book Don's been working on for the last 15 years or so?

He has not finished his book of one liners yet.

Congratulations on your NS! I like the understated look of the fingerboard as it contrasts with the body's gloss.

Congratulations! I am glad you bought it. I was seriously looking at it trying to convince myself that I needed another NS. The price, year and construction really appealed to me. You wouldn't believe the reasons I came up with to justify it. Fortunately I didn't have the funds! Phew, close call. Good for you and good for me. :)

Thank you all, it's a real nice piece.
Yes, it's my first NS (but my second Emmett and my fourth Ned, well fifth if you count the Steinberger designed Specter bass).

I've been playing at learning the Stick off and on for a few years but could never get my head/hands around the inverted 5ths. My right hand was was more Stick functional. Not good, but at least it was in familiar territory.

As a bassist this was immediately a lot more intuitive and I'm finding my right hand the weak link.

Well, off to go practice right-hand chord shapes and get the notes of all these extra "bass" strings under my fingers.

Rowka, you're very welcome. It was a REAL pleasure talking with you and doing business with you. Like I said before, you've probably played the NS more in this week than I did while I had it. The guilt over not having the time to play the NS nearly killed me. IMHO instruments are meant to be played. I don't mind seeing instruments displayed on walls, but..... they need to be played. I'm sure within time you will become awesome on the NS. Please post some music when you're ready.
