Post and so begins the next chapter ...
Well it is here. I bought Darrell Havard's NS/Stick when it came up a little while back and had it sent to Emmett et al for a touch from the master. Let me say that this is not my first Stick. A few years ago circumstance forced me to sell my 10 String and my SB-7. But now I add an NS/Stick to my stable which includes 2 other Steinberger pieces - a GP4T and an XP2.

I am amazed at the versatility of the NS/Stick. It is truly unique. To be able to switch esaily between tapping, plucking and strumming is incredible and I'm finding is opening up wonderful new possibilities. The workmanship is amazing and the touch up from the geniuses at Stick Ent makes this instrument look, play and sing like it was brand new. I haven't tried the graphite neck NS/Stick yet but I am more than happy with the wooden neck.

We're in the middle of packing to move then going on a long holiday back to India for Christmas so it mightn't be until next year before I can post some material up. But that is not to say I wont be playing it. For indeed it is hard to put it down. And I have a grin from ear to ear!

BTW this is a very remote stick. I live in a place called Broome in Western Australia. Our nearest state capital is more than 2200 km away - that's about 1400 miles for you USA people.

Cheers

James

Hi James,

We welcome a new instrument to the Southern Hemisphere (another Stick landed in NSW recently).
I'm just down the road in Adelaide!

Cheers,
Andy

Not to Hijak the the thread or anything,
But it seems there are a few Aussies on here,
We should make an Aussies Club, (TalkBass style)

It will help people who stumble across the stick and want information and help from other Aussies about how to get one or where they can try it out.
Good idea yes?

I setup an Aussie Stickist myspace site a while back, but haven't had time to do much with it. Maybe I could revive it and get all of you to join, etc. Or would a Yahoo Group be better?

EG

Hey guys,

Add yourselves as friends to AussieStickists and we can use that to communicate local/regional events and things of interest. Now if I can just remember the login... :)
