Re: Strymon Effects Pedals
If it can be done with feet, I'm in but all my fingers are spoken for.
The 3xl supports presets if you are up for lining up all your pedals. I crack mine open tonight!

Re: Strymon Effects Pedals
If anyone has the Strymon Mobius, try preset 20A - Thru Space This sounds amazing on the Chapman Stick. http://www.strymon.net/mobius-factory-preset-settings-pdf/

I've contacted this company to see if their products can help with my quest to control effects pedals simultaneously via touchscreen. http://www.feelyoursound.com/midimidi/

If running back tracks within Reaper DAW, you can automate the Strymon Trio presets.

This is cool, but very expensive. http://www.customaudioelectronics.com/cae_news?action=view&id=27Hacking a USB MIDI keyboard to make a DIY controller would be more fun.

Re: Strymon Effects Pedals
This company got back to me last night. They recommend another company's product. https://www.bome.com/products/miditranslator#I've downloaded the trial version and will give it a try. Lots of cool products at this company. https://www.bome.com/productsWerkSpace wrote: I've contacted this company to see if their products can help with my quest to control effects pedals simultaneously via touchscreen. http://www.feelyoursound.com/midimidi/

Re: Strymon Effects Pedals
That looks pretty rad. Looking forward to hearing back on progress.
I can't go that path, although it does sound fun. Please understand, my pedalboard is a kids table of sorts that is not allowed to play with computers or DAWs.
Because I spend most of my time in front of a monitor, serving the greater borg-elite in that digital space, I have shied away from incorporating my laptop into my sound. I tend to prefer a more childlike and visceral musical pedalboard experience. MIDI is most recent foray into the netherworld and I'm enjoying it so far.
That and the new dmc-3xl gen3 controller. The grape soda sparkle finish is completely worth the extra $20 fyi...

Re: Strymon Effects Pedals
I like the grape soda sparkle as well. Pretty cool! When I see what kids are doing with the latest technology, I get very excited! It's why I get up in the morning...20 years ago, none of this stuff existed. I have a very large library of technical books. I'm wired for technical stuff. Visitors would often look thru them and ask, do you have anything to read? Thousands of books and nothing interested them.

Agreed on technology. Please come by JPL if ever you are in the area , there is no shortage of technology and people who are passionate about it. We also have a pretty bitchen library. Music is a nice escape from my daily computer based routines These days, I'm seeking out a more raw and tactile experience with equal emphasis on structured and unstructured practice, a big part of which is limiting options as I am easily distracted.

JPL looks like a great place to visit. I might take you up on that offer. I work in flight simulation. I can take a trip and never leave the farm.earthgene wrote: Agreed on technology.
