So one of the changes I'm making to Tap Theory this year is how I classify the difficulty of the arrangements I'm making for curriculum. Here's this year's first arrangement, a level 3 (out of 10) arrangement of Come Together by the Beatles. With some interesting hand syncopation and use of double stops in the melody, this arrangement will help push the boundaries of a beginner stickist and transition them into more intermediate territory. As usual, tabs and a performance breakdown available at http://www.patreon.com/jgoldbergmusic. Enjoy!
Thanks! Nice! It's such a perfect tune for the Stick in my opinion because you can make the arrangement work on so many levels of playing. Just starting out and need something easy? Bam, simple bass line and melody. Want to work on your improv? Bam, this bass line is a great one to get under your hands for autopilot. Want to really spice the arrangement up? There's a million ways to add more to it; harmonizing the melody, adding a RH groove to complement the bass line, improv, etc.
