March Song of the month is And I Love Her by the Beatles
And I Love Her got twice as many votes as the second place tune of Walk on the Wild Side. You all have til the end of March to come up with a version of And I Love Her. Looking forward to hearing what you all come up with. If you can only do a few bars that’s great. If you can do a whole song even better. Video is optional.

I may take a stab. It’s been a while since I’ve learned anything new.
Walk on the wild side? Me thinks that would be a toughy. Not due to song complexity but the fact that the dual bass line is iconic....and can’t (shouldn’t) be left out. How does one pull that off and hit the melody at the same time?
Cheers, K-stein

Cheers, K-stein Indeed Kev, but that's song I really really want to add to my set list . Stay Tuned.

Cool tune! A big thanks to Rob for hosting this, I never would have tried this one if it weren't suggested. Thanks, guys! And yes, my take is rough as all get out but hey, that's what happens when I just sort of make it up as I go... https://soundcloud.com/jayesskerr/stick-and-i-love-her

Scott. That was super cool. Love what you are doing on the bass side. Crazy cool. You made this your own. Loving the vibrato too.
Its my pleasure to host these. I just want more people to try and post as little or as much as they can. I dont want to be the one dictating the tunes to learn because then I wont learn any tunes I may have never considered learning.
Thanks for Posting. .

Makes it moody and individual. very good!

I mean, sure we can all post messages about the instrument we love and play but something about seeing and hearing how other people approach the same piece seems to make learning this instrument a bit more tangible. Make a clip, and post it. I promise you that if nobody else checks it out, I will - and I will be happy to comment on it. Recording fidelity is not an issue (Although we all love loud and clear audio!) just post your notes! Heck, it doesn't even have to be this tune; post anything! (Looking forward to hearing it!)
