Re: Free For All
Just re-reading these three stories by Truman Capote: "A Christmas Memory," "One Christmas" and "The Thanskgiving Visitor." Great stuff.

Re: Free For All
I love Truman's works. The movie upon his life was fantactic IMO. On another matter (completely), I watched a frightening documentary dealing with the money in the world. Please check this video out (it lasts 50 mns) but it's a very nice, quick and understandable economic teaching. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-9050474362583451279It's quite scary for us, "simple mortals" and workers, and for our children too (another problem for them to deal with)

Great Book: Music Quickens Time
I've been reading Daniel Barenboim's Music Quickens Time. It's an incredibly insightful and inspiring book for our time. After hearing an interview with the author last December: http://wamu.org/programs/dr/08/12/09.php I had to check it out, but didn't have time until a recent trip. It set the stage nicely for the Vancouver Seminar for me. Just thought I'd pass it along...

I saw his book and was intrigued, but now that I've listened to his interview I will get this book. Thanks for sharing, Greg! Hi Paul, You're welcome. And for those of you exploring those "middle years" like me, I can also recommend a collection of short stories by the late great John Updike I just finished reading: The Afterlife and Other Stories (1994). http://www.amazon.com/Afterlife-John-Updike/dp/0449912019Absolutely no music content whatsoever, but brilliant as usual.
