Post New 10-string Stick, #5629 in Arizona . .YES!!!
Hello all Stickist,

I thought I would take a moment to introduce myself.
After months of research and lurking here at the Stickist I took
the plunge.

On May 12th I received a: 10-string Stick, #5629
rosewood, MR tuning, medium gauge strings,
Stickup, chrome tuners/black buttons, glow linear inlays

My primary instruments are piano and violin.

For a living I owned a company that designed and prototyped new electronic concepts
for start-up companies. (Hardware/Software design, PCB layout, make prototypes and
then set-up production.)

Two years ago I moved from Northern California to Arizona.

Hobbies include: Project recording studio, oil painting, private pilot, Magician ;)

The quality of the Stick I received was unbelievable. The Stick has some real magic.
It's been a few years since anything has been so captivating.

Best wishes to all,

>>Magician<<<

Hey David. I've dabbled in this arena myself. Was in the Society of American Magicians a loooooooong time ago.

Perhaps we can call playing the Stick "Pressed the digitation".

See you in Sedona soon. I'm playing at Tlaquepaque and The Martini Bar

Sorry for the slow response.
I’ve been out of town for a couple of days.

jeffcomas: thanks for the welcome. I hope I’m still welcome after
I ask a couple of “new stick owner” dumb questions

Brett Bottomley: Thanks for the heads up. I will contact Steve.
(Too late, Steve just signed in.)

Lee Vatip: I’m new here and didn’t equate “Lee Vatip” and Steve Adelson .
(I am going through a DVD I bought called “Ultimatestick” right now.)

Actually it’s a bit funny I started doing a YouTube search to see how good “Lee Vatip”
was at playing stick. (Never found any “Lee Vatip” videos.)
Of course there are both DVDs and other videos of "Steve Adelson".

Is it a bit too soon for me to work with an accomplished instructor?
(I’m at the hunt, find note, play a note which buzzes sometimes, level of stickology.)

In any case both my wife and myself are looking forward to seeing you in action at Tlaquepaque.

-----
Magic?

I did a 45 minute parlor routine with music.
(Anderson flash newspaper restore, drawing duplication, Slydini Silks, and such.)

As soon as I get a studio space set up I’ll be working on at least two new sets.
-------------

Back to the stick, I have not been so excited about a new endeavor for quite
a few years.
