Hi everyone,

I am pleased to announce “The 2012 NorthEast Stick® Seminar”.

This will be held in Hamden, Connecticut at “The Outer Space” Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and 24.

Instructors will be Greg Howard and Michael Bernier with some additional instruction by Brett Bottomley.

All skill levels are welcome. If you don't have a Stick, a limited number of instruments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Instruction will cover a broad range of subjects, including basic technique, instrument setup, fretboard navigation, chord chemistry, etc.

Greg is one of the most experienced teachers of Emmett Chapman's Free Hands method anywhere, having taught over 50 seminars and hundreds of private students all over North America, Europe and Japan. He's also written two Stick method books and recently published a DVD of physical technique lessons. Michael's innovative approach to The Stick has expanded the instrument's technique vocabulary immensely, and inspired Tony Levin to launch the Stick Men trio together with Michael and drummer Pat Mastelotto.

There will be a meet and greet on Friday night – venue to be announced.

Classes will be held from 10-5 on Saturday and 10-5 on Sunday at “The Outer Space” in Hamden http://theouterspace.net/. Hamden is located just north of New Haven, convenient to the New York and Boston metro areas.

There will be a Stick Night concert on Saturday night from 7 -11 at the same venue featuring Greg, Michael,and Brett. There will also be an opportunity for students to perform at the concert.

The Cost is $185 US per student and includes admission to Saturday night's concert. Space is limited, sign-ups on a first-come, first-served basis.

To anyone that hasn't attended one of these, do yourself a favor and sign up ASAP. I learned a ton from Greg (and Steve) and I can't recommend these clinics enough.

The concert performed is also awe-inspiring. To see these guys play in person is something to behold. Truly a worthwhile investment!
